Yet another day in Verbier with LOADS of snow and Kent has been up on Savoleyres – which opened this morning – and the conditions are amazing.

So the season continues to put smiles on everyone’s faces and it’s only the start of December. This could be a most epic season…

This is not a blog post that needs much in the top half. So suffice to say it’s snowed loads, it’s snowing again today. Loads. And tomorrow. Loads. And last weekend you could ski Col de Mouche because the Chassoure bubble was open. OK the actual Chassoure-Tortin itinerary isn’t officially open yet, but does Verbier get better than a powder day with nobody around and Col de Mouche to yourself?

Probably, but right now I can’t think of anything.

As always, if youtube clips don’t play straight away then just click here go to our channel…

Yes, *weather* is on it’s way. Big nasty cold snowy weather. Or, epic weather, depends on your standpoint really. But we’ll bring you more on the snow very soon, in the meantime Viola (Kent’s eldest daughter) has a few words for you on a weathery note…

It’s only short but it’s very funny.

PS if youtube is having a bad day just click here. It’s worth it. Promise.

TeleVerbier have announced that the lifts will be open this every day from this weekend. So officially the beginning of the season..

Once again Toby and Kent have left everyone off-snow feeling green with envy by getting some very nice photos of a very nice day with some very nice people in a very nice resort.

Toby has already provided his first instalment of photos which we put up yesterday, and they looked stunning. Just don’t tell him I said that.

And crucially the dull laps of Lac des Vaux (yes, even full of the excitement of the start of the season, lapping Lac des Vaux can drive you mad) have been replaced with the full run to Ruinette. Which is a pretty decent trip for a quick ski in the middle of November.

Anyway, they were joined by Tom and Neil (who seemed to be in a competition with each other to get their outfits spotted by passing satelites) and everyone had a rather nice time. Makes you sick doesn’t it?

Meanwhile Gina has already been teaching over the weekend – she only nipped up to put in her first turns of the winter with Rich and next thing you know she’s got a lesson with young Patrick and his brother. But it all went very well and they were happily snowploughing around Lac des Vaux by the end of it enjoying views that looked a little bit like this…

Toby has been skiing with Laika – who, to be honest, is amazingly entertaining when you get her on snow.

And the great news is the snow is good, you can ski all the way to Ruinette and frankly the season has started amazingly. And crucially Toby has got some more stunning snaps of Verbier in the November sunshine.
