Why Us?
Well, it’s a good question – after all there are a lot of ski schools in Verbier, and a lot of ski instructors.
Are we any different? We think so.
That’s because when we started Performance, we all agreed that our job was pretty simple – to give you the best possible day in Verbier. We came up with three essential things that every instructor needs to make sure that happens. They might not sound like rocket science, but to us they’re absolutely vital – and harder to find than you might think.
Sounds a little obvious, but instructors don’t always love to teach. Some have fallen out of love with skiing, some are impatient or grumpy, and others frankly just aren’t that much fun to spend a day with.
Our attitude is that the one thing you can’t teach someone is to be more fun. It’s something that’s built-in – it’s either there or it isn’t. So when we recruit a new member of the team we always ask ourselves: “Is this someone I’ll have fun skiing with? Have they got that extra something?”
If the answer’s yes, we know we’re on the right track.

Our Lessons
We only teach private lessons at Performance – that way the tuition you get is perfectly tailored to the way you learn.
And because we’re only a small ski school we don’t teach group lessons – we’ll leave that to the big schools. Which lesson is right for you can
depend on a lot of factors – like if you want learn to ski for the very first time, or if you’re looking for a really technical session, or perhaps a
more relaxed lesson exploring the terrain of Verbier.
See below for details of our lessons.
-
All day lessons
Ideal if you want to get to know the Four Valleys’ 400km of ski runs, but also perfect if you really want to concentrate on your technique (as well as get to know the best lunch spots…). A really good option for families, too.
Off peak: 540CHF
Peak weeks: 590CHF
-
Three hour lessons
Great if you would like a comprehensive half-day of tuition, we can cover all the points you want to work on, give you personal feedback and still have plenty of time to discover Verbier’s great range of terrain.
Off peak: 295CHF
Peak weeks: 330CHF
-
Two hour lessons
If you just fancy some tips and skills that you can practice, then perhaps shorter two hour lessons in would be perfect for you. Two hours is just enough time to identify areas for improvement and focus on some technical changes
Off peak: 230CHF
