John Pettersen
A bit about John:
John started skiing at the age of seven when his aunt gave him her old skis. The size-wise completely disproportionate equipment didn’t stop him from walking up every hill in the neighbourhood to enjoy skiing. This new passion dominated after school activities and eventually led to participation in regional alpine racing. Curiosity later made him venture over to Freestyle skiing, which are the three disciplines, Moguls, ski ballet and jumping. From there it was a short leap over to “Ski Extreme” which in those days simply was hike up any mountain and ski down as steep as possible terrain.
After his first trip to ski in Chamonix at age 18, he has traveled countless times to the alps solely to ski! Most of his professional career has been in travel/hospitality and in his mid 20`s he worked 3 winter seasons in Austin (Ischgl & St. Anton) as a ski guide for the Swedish tour operator Sportresor.
Verbier first caught his attention on a ski trip in 2001 and since 2015 he made it his home.
Life motto: If it snows, I am happy!
